Inappropriate text: CCP apologizes for demanding Alain Race’s resignation

The Conservative Party of Canada has apologized for sending a message to its members demanding that Alain Reyes resign.

“The Conservative Party of Canada apologizes for an automated text message sent earlier today to party members in the riding of Richmond-Arthabasca,” the CCP said simply.

Earlier in the day, new conservative leader Pierre Poilivre’s entourage tried to pressure Alain Race to resign, a day after he knocked on the party’s door.

Members of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) received a specific text message, including Mr. Race himself, his wife and children. “Your MP Alain Race has just left the Conservative Party. He decided not to fight Trudeau’s inflation team with Pierre Poilivre. Alain, call his office now and tell him to resign as his deputy”, can we read there.
