Your Google Account may be deleted if you no longer use it

Do you have a Google Account you're not using? Be careful, it may be deleted due to inactivity.

In fact, the American company that provides various software like search engine and messaging service has a policy regarding account inactivity.

“An inactive Google account is an account that has not been used for two years. Google reserves the right to delete an inactive Google Account and the activity and data associated with it if you have been inactive on Google for at least two years.

Hence, people with inactive account will lose all the data saved especially in both Gmail and Google Drive.

However, it's easy to keep your account active by sending or reading emails, watching a YouTube video, or using Google Search. Just log in to your account to perform an action and that's it.

“If you have multiple Google Accounts configured on your device, make sure each of them is used within two years,” says the web giant.

This policy only applies to free personal accounts and does not apply if you have a gift card with cash balance in your account.

Here are the different steps you can take to keep your Google Account active:

• Read or send email.

• Use Google Drive.

• Watch a video on YouTube.

• Share a photo.

• Download the application.

• Use Google Search.

• Use the “Sign in with Google” feature to sign in to a third-party app or service.
