Amazon has expanded its smart home device lineup with five new Alexa-powered products, introducing upgraded displays, speakers, a smart alarm clock and a digital photo frame. The latest devices feature Alexa+, Amazon’s enhanced AI assistant, designed to deliver more natural conversations, answer follow-up questions and complete complex tasks.
The new lineup includes the Echo Show 16, an upgraded Echo Dot, Echo Studio with Home Camera, Echo Time and Alexa Photo Frame. Alexa+ is available at no additional cost to Amazon Prime members, bringing the company’s latest artificial intelligence capabilities to connected homes.
Echo Show 16 Features Larger Display and Built-In Fire TV
The new Echo Show 16 introduces a 16-inch Full HD display, providing 10% more viewing area than the previous Echo Show 15.
Amazon has redesigned the device with an anodized aluminum frame that is nearly 40% thinner. Buyers can also choose an optional Nanomatte display, which uses anti-glare technology similar to that found in the Alexa Tablet 12 Pro and reduces glare by more than 90%.
The smart display includes eight micro woofers, two tweeters and a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with automatic framing. It also introduces night vision to the Echo Show lineup.
Amazon says the device delivers 20% more computing power and includes the complete Fire TV experience, with a remote control included.
New Smart Home Dashboard and Pricing
Three customizable Screen Styles allow users to transform the display into a family organizer, smart home dashboard featuring Alexa Home Map, or digital photo frame.
The Echo Show 16 is available for preorder at $499.99, while the Nanomatte version costs $569.99. Amazon is offering a $100 preorder discount, with shipments expected later in 2026.
New Echo Dot Adds AI Processing and Improved Audio
Amazon’s latest Echo Dot is the first model powered by its AZ3 processor with a dedicated AI Accelerator.
The speaker includes four microphones and a built-in smart home hub supporting Zigbee, Matter and Thread connectivity standards.
An integrated eero Wi-Fi extender can expand wireless coverage by up to 1,000 square feet, while Amazon claims the upgraded speaker delivers 50% more bass than its predecessor.
The Echo Dot is available for $99.99 in Graphite, Glacier White, Agave Green and Coral Pink.
A child-friendly Amazon Kids Echo Dot is also available for $109.99 in Octopus and Penguin designs, including a one-year Amazon Kids+ subscription.
Echo Studio with Home Camera Introduces Visual AI Features
Amazon has added a 13-megapixel camera to its Echo Studio speaker, enabling new visual intelligence capabilities through Alexa+.
Users can show the camera a board game box to request instructions, scan a cereal package to reorder groceries or remotely monitor a room through Live View in the Alexa app.
The company also plans to introduce video calling through compatible Fire TV devices.
Dolby Atmos Audio Remains a Key Feature
The Echo Studio with Home Camera retains the previous model’s audio configuration, including a 3.75-inch high-excursion woofer, three full-range drivers and Dolby Atmos support.
The camera-equipped version costs $249.99, while the standard Echo Studio remains available for $219.99 for customers who prefer a speaker without a camera.
Echo Time Smart Clock Offers Sleep-Aware Alarms
Amazon’s new Echo Time is a smart bedside alarm clock featuring a 3.2-inch circular touchscreen and hundreds of customizable clock faces.
Unlike several other Echo devices, the Echo Time does not include a camera.
Its optional smart alarm uses Amazon’s Omnisense technology, including ultrasound-based breathing detection, to identify lighter sleep periods.
The feature can wake users within a customizable 10- to 60-minute window before their scheduled alarm, without requiring a smartwatch or fitness tracker.
The display also gradually brightens to simulate sunrise.
Echo Time costs $199.99 in Graphite, Glacier White and Coral Pink. The Amazon Kids Echo Time starts at $209.99 in Galactic Grape and Cosmic Lime.
Alexa Photo Frame Combines Digital Photos with AI Assistance
Amazon has also introduced the Alexa Photo Frame, which the company describes as its first digital picture frame with Alexa built in.
The device features a 10.1-inch semi-matte anti-glare touchscreen and integrates with Amazon Photos.
Alexa+ can automatically select photos for display while filtering out screenshots, receipts and other less relevant images.
Users can request pictures of particular people or vacations using voice commands and attach spoken notes to individual photographs.
The Alexa Photo Frame costs $199.99 in Black, while Birch and Walnut wood-frame versions are priced at $229. Each purchase includes 90 days of Alexa+ access.
Amazon Expands Its AI-Powered Smart Home Ecosystem
Amazon’s latest Echo devices reflect its growing emphasis on integrating generative AI into everyday household technology.
From visual assistance and smart home management to sleep-aware alarms and automated photo organization, the new products extend Alexa+ beyond traditional voice commands.
With prices ranging from $99.99 for the Echo Dot to $569.99 for the premium Echo Show 16, Amazon is targeting different household needs while strengthening its position in the increasingly competitive smart home market.
