A Russian businessman close to the Kremlin, Yevgeny Prigozhin, admitted Monday to “meddling” in the US election during a key midterm poll in the United States, where Moscow has been accused for years of meddling.

“We have intervened, we do and we will continue to do so. Carefully, precisely, surgically, in a way that is unique to us,” Prigogine was quoted as saying in a social media post from his company Concorde.
The comments came in response to a question about allegations of Russian interference in midterm elections in the United States on Tuesday, since the crisis between Washington and Washington in the context of closely watched elections in Moscow. In Ukraine.

Mr Prigogine, subject to American and European sanctions, has been accused of meddling in American elections for years, particularly during the 2016 presidential election.
They are accused of creating a “troll farm” that maintains false profiles on social networks to influence voters, particularly by disparaging candidates or spreading false information.
A once-discreet businessman is reasserting himself as a public figure in Russia, backing Moscow’s aggression in Ukraine.
In late September, Mr Prigogine admitted to founding the paramilitary group Wagner in 2014 to fight in Ukraine, and acknowledged its presence in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America in particular.
The paramilitary group has been suspected for years of shadowing the Kremlin’s menial work in various theaters, something Moscow and Mr. Prigozhin have always denied.
Mr Prigozhin, who is known to be close to Vladimir Putin, was at one time one of the suppliers to the Kremlin kitchens, earning him the nickname “Putin’s Cook”.
