Canada beat Russia in the World Junior Preparations

Defender Jamie Driesdale tied 0-0 with a point shot in the final twenty-fifth minute, goalkeeper Arthur Aktyamov was unable to block, and Yaroslav Askarov was relieved, the first 40 minutes of play against 22 shots.

Quebec goalkeeper Devon Levy was unmistakable 23 shots from the Russians.

In the first third, two goalkeepers were unimportant. Levi 11 rebounded Russian shots, like Askarov, very solidly, especially in front of Jacob Pelletier. The Monkton Wildcats hit a post ahead of them before mastering the Nashville Predators’ first pick return throw.

In the second half, Askarov lived up to his position by blocking 11 enemy shots again, but Levy did not miss Russia’s 6 attempts.

Note that Captain Kirby will have to undergo a Dutch magnetic resonance imaging test, said head coach Andrei Turigni due to an ision with Russia’s rival. The striker, who finished 3rd overall in 2019, appears to have injured his right arm.

The curtain will rise on this championship on Christmas day with the Switzerland-Slovakia duel. Canada starts the next day with Germany.
