A Russian passenger and two pilots stranded in Yellowknife since Monday due to the closure of Canadian airspace have been fined $ 3,000 each by Transport Canada.

Canada closed its airspace last Sunday.
With the arrival of the plane the ministry began an investigation.
It concluded that the aircraft “violated Canada’s airspace restrictions, even if it was not owned or registered in Russia for Russian purposes.”
The company that owned the aircraft, Dunard Engineering Limited, based in Geneva, Switzerland, was fined $ 15,000.
The plane was allowed to leave the country on Friday, but without passengers.
