The Love Pies Nursing Home is off to a lively start to the year. After moving to the new campus, all teams are now mobilizing around the Kovid vaccine campaign
In accordance with the National Guidelines on the Implementation of the Vaccine Campaign in EHPAD, Dr. Petrisons, the coordinating physician, sought to have communication with all residents. The purpose of this first step is to shed light on this vaccine and allow everyone to keep to themselves. A general information letter was sent to families and caregivers. All physicians receiving treatment were asked to invite them to participate in the campaign or to hand over the vaccine to the establishment.
Collection of consent
Pre-vaccination consultation and consent collection are really required to vaccinate residents who wish to receive the vaccines as soon as they are received through the National Logistics Platform.
The vaccine campaign was successful on February 16 and 17. Most residents have accepted the vaccine since they were 61 years old after accepting the injection of the vaccine.
The mission was carried out internally in close collaboration with a departmental delegation of nursing specialists and coordinating physician ARS Occitani, which distributed the doses to the village pharmacy.
Operation successful: To date, the vaccine has shown no side effects. The second injection is administered 21 days later in the first institutional setting.
Vaccinated residents will be monitored throughout the entire period to determine the appearance of any delayed side effects and special care will be taken. All of this while strictly adhering to barrier measures.
