Quebec Solidair (QS) MNA has announced the appointment of Christine Labrie as parliamentary leader, replacing Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois.

“She has the important qualities of a good parliamentary leader: she is able to build bridges with other parties when the proper functioning of parliament is needed and is able to strongly defend her solidarity colleagues when needed,” the spokeswoman said.
The solidarity member, who will take office in early August, will oversee the files and discuss the bills during the next parliamentary session in September.

The 33-year-old solidarity member is the fifth woman to be parliamentary leader in Quebec.
