Quebec did not die in large numbers on Sunday, with the number of COVID-19 cases peaking in both La Belle Province and Ontario.
With just 179 new infections in 24 hours, Quebec has dropped to less than 200 cases per day, and since September 10, at that time, we have started watching the second wave of COVID. -19.
As a bonus, the number of hospitals in the province is still melting under the heatwave, with 274 cubes (-9) fighting the virus, including 61 beds in intensive care.
These encouraging results were timely as the last areas of the Red Zone, including Montreal and Laval, turned orange on Monday. Other fields turn yellow or green. Progress on appointment dates for the second dose will also begin Monday for those aged 80 and over.
As of yesterday, less than 200 cases had been reported in Quebec. So far, the deconstruction plan is working. We must continue to take action and vaccinate, “said Health Minister Christian Dubey.
However, Quebec is not the only country to boast of having a third wave. Ontario also improved its data significantly on Sunday with 663 infections and 10 other deaths.
This is a significant improvement for the country’s most populous province, with the number of new cases reaching a record low since mid – October.
The province is not yet forested, however, with intensive care patients occupying only 500 beds due to the virus, a number that is steadily declining.
Further west, Manitoba is currently the worst-hit state with 221 cases and three deaths. Although the population is six times smaller, Manitoba has more cases than Quebec.
On the east side, New Brunswick (3 cases), Nova Scotia (12 cases) and Newfoundland and Labrador (5 cases) unveiled reports corresponding to the past few days.
