COVID-19 Exposure Warning posted for flight landed at Nanimo

A flight from Vancouver to Nanimo on September 25 was added to the province’s COVID-19 Exposure warning list. This flight is from Air Canada 8261 Vancouver to Nanimo. The affected rows range from one to seven. The BC Center for Disease Control (BCCDC) on Monday posted a list of aircraft included in the list. Three flights are domestic and three flights are international. Other flights:

  • September 25: Air Canada 303, from Montreal to Vancouver, affected 28 to 34 rows
  • October 2: Sweep 107, from Hamilton to Abbotsford, affected rows not reported
  • September 27: Air India 1143, Delhi From Delhi to Vancouver, no affected lines reported
  • September 27: KLM 681, Amsterdam to Vancouver, affected rows not reported
  • September 30: Air India 1143, Delhi to Vancouver, no affected lines reported

And on Tuesday, the BC CDC added the following aircraft to the list:

  • September 27: Air Canada 296, Winnipeg from Vancouver, 27 to 29 rows affected

Air Canada 8261 is the second Nanimo aircraft to be included in the BCCDC’s Exposure List. The first flight was WestJet 3103 from Calgary to Nanimo on March 15. All passengers traveling outside of Canada were required to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms for 14 days upon arrival. Passengers on domestic flights with a COVID-19 case should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days, the BCCDC said.   • Fever (see below)
  • Cold
  • Cough or chronic cough may be exacerbated
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sore throat
  • Leaking nose
  • Loss of sense of smell or taste
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea
  • Lack of appetite
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Muscle aches
