Quebec on Monday reported 586 new cases of COVID-19, the highest daily increase since May.

Residents of Montreal and Quebec are being urged to reduce their social activities to a minimum and face new sanctions as the regional government seeks to curb the rise in COVID-19 cases.

The two largest cities in Quebec and the Chowder-Appalach ప్రాంతంs area south of Quebec City have been placed on “moderate alert”.

This is the orange or second highest alert level under the province’s color-coded COVID-19 warning system.
