Denise Marsolois has been appointed CEO of SAAQ

The Cabinet on Wednesday evening appointed Denise Marsolois as President and Chief Executive Officer of the (Montreal) Society de l’Assurance Automobile du Quebec (SAAQ).


Mr. Marsolois has been Quebec Public Curator since May 16, 2018.

He will take over his new post on January 17, following Nathalie Tremble, who has held the post for a decade.

“I want to thank Nathalie Tremble for her significant contribution to the SAAQ. His toughness, his passion and his human qualities are a mark of his 11 years in office. We wish him a happy retirement,” Transport Minister Franకోois Bonardell said in a statement.

The SAAQ is responsible for maintaining a public automobile insurance plan that protects all Quebecs from physical injury, as well as registering vehicles, issuing driving licenses, and supervising school driving. It maintains access to the road network and monitors and controls the road traffic of people and goods.
