Amadou Mam Diop of the Benno Bok Yakar majority received 83 votes out of 84 voters. During the legislative elections, the presidential camp won an absolute majority of 83 deputies, thanks to Pape Diop’s rally. Opposition coalitions Yavvi Ascon V and Vallu Senegal won a total of 80 seats.
