Inflation or not, Quebecers don’t hesitate to travel themselves, even if it means going into debt and cutting grocery costs, according to a recent survey published Wednesday.
According to a FlightHub Group probe, nearly half of Quebecers who have flown at least once in the past two years have had to cut costs to get away this year.
According to the survey, more than 1 in 4 Quebecers who cannot afford travel (26%) have already chosen to finance their travel plans with their credit card or some other financing source.
Nearly 41% of those surveyed said they are cutting back on daily grocery spending to get a travel experience they normally can’t afford, highlighting the need for more travel solutions, according to the survey. affordable
The survey revealed that 53% of Quebec Millennials (69% across Canada) have had to compromise their desire to escape by cutting back on their trips to restaurants, the cinema or concerts.
“This enthusiasm for travel and the human experiences that come with it, despite economic challenges, highlights a deep desire for a change of scenery and connection, and particularly among the younger generation,” explained FlightHub Group CEO Christopher Cave.
