The COVID-19 network continues to be severely damaged.

In the Greater Montreal area, various Integrated Health and Social Service Centers (CIUSSS) have all reported heavy traffic. They asked to consult a pharmacist or call Info-Sante Line 811 for minor problems rather than going to the hospital.

“When to go to the emergency room? Only if your condition requires immediate care, ”read their Facebook page.

Health Minister Christian Dubey on Friday expressed concern that 13,000 health care workers were missing due to COVID-19 and that “it will be difficult in emergencies in the next two weeks”, but said the network will remain strong.

On Friday, CIUSSS de l’Outaouais announced that it was suspending visits to seven hospitals in the area until further notice. Those in Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Chaudière-Appalaches had to cut some services at one or more companies.

Many CIUSSS have recalled some warning tips, especially to avoid large Easter gatherings. If people experience symptoms such as COVID-19, such as fatigue or sore throat, they recommend keeping the windows open and ventilated at home.
