English-speaking Sezeps: A liberal government runs three mandatory French courses

The Liberal government, led by Dominic Anglade, runs three French or French courses imposed on students attending the English-speaking CEGEP.

The Liberal Party is demanding that students be given back their right to attend the college of their choice if they take office on October 3.

Dominic Anglade wants to reform the French language’s charter and re-open Bill 96 of the Legal government, especially by ending the stalemate of places in English-speaking institutions.

She wants to remove the obligation to communicate in French with the state six months after the immigrants arrived on Quebec soil and withdraw the humiliating provision.

Although this is a big annoyance to the English speaking community, the three French courses imposed on students from English speaking primary and secondary networks are here to stay under the English government. This also applies to the three courses in their program that other young CEGEP students attending an English-speaking institution must take in the Moliere language.

“They will stay. If so, we will work with the whole community to make sure everyone has their place, ”the Liberal leader assured on Saturday. On Saturday, she presented her election platform to PLQ members during the General Council in Montreal.

Keep in mind that the Liberal Party’s election base, Liberal MP Helen David, has called for the move, sparking outrage among the English – speaking population.

Deputy Carlos Letao agreed that this episode was not the best moment of the PLQ in recent months.

“We need to improve access to French courses for the English-speaking community, such as courses at CEGEP but elsewhere. Anglophones for study or work must have access to good franchise programs, ”he added at the event, which brought together 400 liberal activists.

Note that the official opposition voted against Bill 96. Dominic Angled and several Liberal MPs also took part in the protest against the CAQ version of Bill 101.
