F1: Max Verstappen wins over Louis Hamilton in Mexico

Mexico | Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won the Mexican GP on Sunday, the 18th.^E Round 22 this season in the F1, and Britain, who finished second in the championship, increased their lead from 12 to 19 points over Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes).

Another consolation to Britain was his colleague Botas, 15^E, Verstappen lost the best lap point in the race.

Carlos Science Jr. (Ferrari) of Spain finished sixth, followed by German Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin), Finnish Kimi Rకోikkనnen (Alfa Romeo), Fernando Alonso of Spain (Alpine) and Britain’s Lando Norris (McLaren).

German Mick Schumacher (Haas) and Japanese Yuki Sunoda (Alpha Touri) had to retire on the first lap after colliding with Frenchman Esteban Okan (Alpine).

F1 travels to Brazil, Interlagos, from next week, again on favorable ground, to Verstopen and Red Bull.

Forget about the weekend stroll

Lance Stroll could quickly forget the weekend Formula 1 that ended the race at 14 in Mexico in 2021.^E Position.

Peloton was unable to move up to enter the Quebec driver’s points due to a penalty he received after making several changes to his propellant unit, starting from the back of the grid.

Stroll came into contact with the wall at the exit from the last turn of the track during Saturday’s qualifying to add to his toughest weekend.

His teammate Sebastian Vettel finished seventh in the event.

Crowd favorite Mexican Sergio Perez, Verstappen’s teammate with the Red Bulls, finished third just over a second behind Hamilton. Perez overtook the Mercedes driver at the end of the course and made one last attempt to complete the Red Bull double, but was unsuccessful.

Latifi is far behind

The other Canadian driver, Nicholas Latifi, like Stroll, gave Verstappen two laps. He finished at 17^E Space.

Of the riders who completed the event, Latifi was only ahead of Russian Nikita Mazepin.

The F1 circus will now move to Brazil for 19^E 22 races are scheduled on the calendar from November 12 to 14.
