Former Innovation Minister Navdeep Baines got the job after the election when he was the Vice President of Investment Banking at CIBC’s Global Network.
The politician is now ordered to “build relationships with ruling clients and expand business globally,” the banking firm said in a statement Monday morning.
“Our clients in the field of innovation and technology are looking to maximize their opportunities in a rapidly changing environment, and the Mr. Bynes experience will enhance the insights and advice we can provide them,” said Director General and Head of CIBC Global Network. A longtime MP, he was elected to the Toronto suburbs and served in five legislatures from 2004-only lost in 2011. Navdeep Bynes was Minister of Innovation, Science and Industries from November 2015 to 12 January 2021. His resignation to devote more time to his family.
Mississauga remained in office until the end of the federal election through member-Malton and Financial Analyst training and co-chaired the Liberal Campaign with Melanie Jolie.
