(Zakhir) The Formula 1 team overcame their difficulties and it was almost normal for Mercedes on Saturday to see one of their drivers climb the standings after the second pre-season test day on the Bahrain circuit.
At the last moments of the Valteri Botas session the best time of the day, i.e. 1 min 30.289 s. He defeated Pierre Gasley in Alfatouri by 124,000 seconds.
After finishing fourth on Friday, the Quebec Lance Stroll over Aston Martin finished third with 171,000 seconds behind Botas on Saturday.

He thanked the mechanics for their effort to repair his gearbox, which allowed him to make a few more laps.
“It’s not so busy for me. I only have one day left to practice before I get back here for the race and I continue to learn about the car,” Vettel commented.
