Carl Tremblay, the newly elected Saint-Brigitte-de-Laval councilor on November 7, was forced to resign a month later citing family reasons.

His resignation letter, which was sent to elected officials from the day after the election, was submitted to the council meeting last week.
Mr. In Tremblay District 4, he defeated outgoing councilor Francis Cote by just five votes. Since being sworn in on December 15, he will hold office for three weeks. So the by-election should be held in April 2022.

“Our stepfather died two or three days after the election. We shopped in Sainte-Brigitte, but we could not find anything for two generations house and we moved to Beauport. All this happened very quickly. “I really appreciate the people there. They are very human and do a great job. I think Saint-Brigitte is in good hands. I want to be a part of this. […] But unfortunately family is always first and foremost. ”
