Hisham al-Hashimi: Foremost Iraqi skilled on armed groups killed in Baghdad

A foremost Iraqi specialist on jihadist and other armed teams has been shot lifeless in the cash, Baghdad.

Hisham al-Hashimi, 47, was killed around his house in the Ziyouna district on Monday night time by two gunmen who had been riding a motorbike, police explained.

The US embassy in Baghdad said in a Fb post that it was “deeply shocked and saddened by the cowardly murder”.

“Our deepest condolences to his relatives and to the people of Iraq for the tragic decline of this Iraqi countrywide treasure. We contact on the Iraqi government to bring those people responsible for his murder to swift justice.”

UN distinctive agent Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert also expressed shock.

“We strongly condemn this despicable act of cowardice,” a statement claimed.
