It is official. Hydro-Quebec No. 2, David Murray, will resign as vice president in 2015 to join the ranks of Bombardier he left.

The senior management of the state-owned company, led by Sophie Broch, confirmed the news on Wednesday. His last day as chief innovation officer and executive vice president – the company’s production, health, safety and environment – was scheduled for October 8, said spokesman Mark-Antoine Paulette.
In Bombardier, David Murray will be given the new role of Senior Vice President – Transformation, Operational Excellence and Information Technologies.
Eric Martell did it again
Bombardier has experienced a sharp decline in volume in recent years, with successive sales – especially to Allstom and Airbus – of most of its manufacturing operations, including commercial aircraft manufacturing and rolling stock.
The company, which came out of its reorganization, now focuses solely on the design, manufacture and sales of business jets known as Global, Challenger and Learjet.
The new senior vice president of Bombardier is due to take office on October 11. The latter will report directly to President Eric Martell, who, as Mr. Murray prepares to do, has taken over the hydro-Quebec senior management of the aircraft manufacturer.
In Hydro Eric Martel is known for hiring many former Bombardier executives. The appointment of Mr. Murray today raises fears that the reverse movement will be repeated.
On Wednesday, aircraft manufacturers’ stock rose 3.83% to settle at $ 1.90 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
