A Brazilian restaurant’s surveillance camera captured the moment its customers fled as a few men rushed toward them.
Customers of Cervejaria Alphaiate in the town of Boa Viagem were enjoying the terrace when a group of people running towards them caused panic among them.
The video, which was uploaded to WhatsApp and Twitter on Wednesday, quickly went viral and has since been viewed by more than 3.3 million people, the Washington Post reported.

In the video, a woman first gets up and then runs away, soon followed by a man dragging his dog. A second woman gets up and is soon followed by other customers.
The rest of the customers quickly follow, knocking over tables and chairs, some even leaving behind their personal belongings.
In the final frames of the video, a group of five men can be seen walking, dressed in sportswear, and jogging lightly.
Since then, it turns out that the group running towards the restaurant and terrorizing the customers is not a group of robbers planning to rob the customers, but a group practicing CrossFit.

“They said it was CrossFit,” said Dr. Amir Kellner, who was on the scene at the time, according to local media G1.
“It happened very quickly. People slowly approached, then, once near our table, they started running. I told my friend to call the police and get her bag. She stood up and at that moment someone shouted thieves. That’s when I got up and saw the thief and cried. He told the local media.
Fortunately, they are joggers, not thieves.
“After a few minutes we saw that nothing had happened. Everyone started laughing and went to their table as if nothing had happened,” he concluded.
