Maude, you’re still there 5th rank This fall…
Yes. And we’ve started shooting a new block, which will air next January. My character is more familiar with Tina, played by Brigitte Poupart. She asks him for favors, among other things, to take care of Marie-Jean (Catherine Renaud).
What does this new season have in store for Mary-Luce?
She worries about her world. There are always dramatic moments, but beautiful things happen too, especially in his relationship. Marie-Luce will do everything to protect her family as she worries about her family once again. We have some great things to play. He is a very handsome character that attracts people. I feel a lot when I go to the regions, because it’s a soap opera shot in rural areas. I am very happy for that.
And your character is still very close to her sisters in the soap opera…
Actually. Recently, I went out for drinks and dinner with my four fictional sisters. We see each other outside of filming. It’s really gratifying. That rarely happens when you’re doing TV; This is common in theater. We chatted till 11 pm.
Do you have other projects?
This summer, I shot a show that I can’t talk about at the moment. I was also involved in a Chloe Robichaud film where I played Sophie’s mother. (wetlands). This is a very beautiful character, but in all the nuances. It was a pleasure to do. I will also restart the wolf In the company of Jean Duceppi. I do all kinds of things. I am happy.
Is it assured that things will continue at this level?
Yes, because I love to enter 5th rank, I also enjoy doing different things. I am an actress who likes to have many strings to her bow. Theater is important to me. I can’t do as much as I’d like, but we’ll be in Ottawa for a week Dear Chekhov In November. It was a resounding success here!
With so many plans, do you have time to take advantage of the beautiful season?
I have to admit I haven’t had many vacations… I’m in the process of selling my duplex in Montreal because we want to settle down in Lawrence. We walked a lot between the two houses, the country house and the duplex. It’s a lot of back and forth. We bought a dog, a standard poodle. It takes a lot of energy! We love it!
Does selling the duplex mean you’ll officially move in with your lover full-time?
Exactly. Christian and I are going to live together. There is also a shed at the back of the yard. (smile) This is a new turning point in our life. At the moment, I won’t have a pied-à-terre in Montreal, but at the same time, many people are offering me accommodation here and there. It was an opportunity to see my friends and colleagues. I still keep my little cottage in Maurice, on the edge of a lake; I keep it for my son.
And so Edmund officially left home. Are you proud of him yourself?
yes i am He left home at the age of 19. He has his own apartment. Everything is well kept and well decorated. He is the man of the house. He and his girlfriend are amazing! They are really happy to go.
Do you take time to pick up before the end of the year?
I might take some time off in December. I have to fend for myself for more than three or four days… I have seen many people going on a trip. I dream of traveling! If we don’t leave, we spend time in the countryside. I am at home a lot. I can’t wait to start cooking again, I haven’t done much this summer. I can’t wait to settle down. I shop for wallpapers. This is something I like.
Does your lover have any book projects on their side?
Yes, my boyfriend is on a platform called Pavillons. You can subscribe to access projects by popular writers who publish papers every Sunday. He also writes correspondence with Normand Baillargeon for Editions XYZ. During this time, he was very devoted to his works.
See 5th rank, Mondays at 8pm on Radio-Canada. Happy Days will hit the theaters in 2023 the wolf On display at Duceppe from October 26 to 30. For more information: duceppe.com. Cher Chekhov will be on tour at the Bob’s Asper Theater in Ottawa from November 17-19.
