Moderate increase in new cases in Ontario

176 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Ontario on Saturday, a slight increase compared to the previous day.

As of Friday, the country’s most populous province had 159 infections or 17 fewer infections.

To this were added three more deaths on Saturday, which is better than the 10 deaths reported 24 hours earlier.

Stress is also declining in Ontario in terms of hospitalization (143, -16) and intensive care (149, -9).

Quebec, let us remember, did not disclose its figures over the weekend.

Manitoba registered 62 new cases and its neighbor Saskatchewan announced 33 cases.

As of late afternoon, Canada had 1,422,918 cases (+271) and 26,492 deaths (+3) of COVID-19.

Quebec: 376,192 cases (11,235 deaths)

Alberta: 232,676 cases (2,314 deaths)

British Columbia: 148,331 cases (1,761 deaths)

Manitoba: 57,126 cases (1,164 deaths)

Saskatchewan: 49,397 cases (575 deaths)

Nova Scotia: 5,870 cases (92 deaths)

New Brunswick: 2,345 cases (46 deaths)

Newfoundland and Labrador: 1,433 cases (7 deaths)

Nunavut: 657 cases (4 deaths)

Yukon: 502 cases (6 deaths)

Prince Edward Island: 208 cases

Northwest Territories: 128 cases

Canadian Returnees: 13 cases

Total: 1,422,918 (26,492 deaths)
