Necrophiliac double murderer pleads guilty again in UK

A 60-year-old British man already sentenced to life in prison for two murders and dozens of postmortem sexual assaults pleaded guilty Thursday to more sexual assaults on women after their deaths, an unprecedented case in the UK.

David Fuller, 68, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of sexual penetration of a corpse and four counts of gross indecency between 2007 and 2020. These facts correspond to a total of 23 victims, some of whom have not been identified.

A related sentencing hearing will begin the week of December 5, possibly at the Old Bailey court in London.

David Fuller is serving a life sentence for strangling two young women before sexually assaulting them in 1987 in Tunbridge Wells (South West England).

He also admitted to abusing dozens of women and girls between 2008 and 2020. He filmed and photographed himself during these attacks, the morgues of two hospitals in southern England where he had long worked as an electrician.

His total number of victims, including a nine-year-old girl and a hundred-year-old woman, is estimated to be over a hundred.

It was an “unprecedented in British legal history” case, the prosecution insisted, when the facts came to light a year ago. At the time, British Health Minister Sajid Javid announced the launch of an independent investigation.
