Passport Offices: Collection service now available in Pointe-Claire

A pickup option has now been added for travelers interested in picking up their passport at the office located at the Fairview Shopping Center in Pointe-Claire, West Island of Montreal. List of services offered there.

This brings to seven the number of offices in Quebec that may have withdrawn the valuable document, and a fourth in Greater Montreal.

In addition to this centre, Service Canada has added a collection service in four other offices, including two in Ontario, one in Alberta and one in British Columbia.

“Adding this service to these offices will also reduce queues at other offices in larger cities,” said Service Canada Minister Karina Gould.

To pick up your passport at a point of sale, you must make a request to Service Canada.

“We are currently working to reduce the backlog and return service standards to normal, and we are taking all necessary steps to improve the experience of Canadians and make our services more accessible,” said Ms. Gould promised.

According to Service Canada statistics, 605,440 passports have been issued across the country since April 1.

The pace of deliveries has increased in recent weeks due to increased staff numbers and process optimization.

48,481 passports were issued in the week of July 11-17.
