The 1,500 Pizza Salvatore team members received a very special video from the family business managers on Christmas day. The five brothers and sisters behind Pizza Salvatore announced on February 8 that they would be giving away half of the pizza sales to pizzeria team members as a bonus. The other half of the pizza sales from this Thanksgiving day will be donated in free pizzas to local charities that help provide food for those in need.
The purpose of Thanksgiving Day is to give team members specific thanks for the work they have done over the past year and to help the various communities. “As far as we know, this is the first time a restaurant chain has decided to give half of its sales to its team members,” said Sebastian, the family’s senior and company marketing manager.
“It’s not $ 1 or $ 2 for the pizza sold, it’s redistributed, but really all pizza sales. We want to highlight the extraordinary work of our teams and, just as important to us, their commitment to supporting the community where every pizzeria is located. That’s why we organize Thanksgiving Day, during which time 50% of pizza sales are given as a bonus to all team members and the remaining 50% is given in the form of free pizzas to community organizations that help the most disadvantaged. Every restaurant manager has the freedom to choose the company that is closest to their heart in their area and for that this pizza donation will have a real impact on his community, ”said Elizabeth Abbatiello, Communications Manager at Pizza Salvatore.
The restaurant chain currently operates 38 branches, one of which is located in Victoriaville.
