Conti is a group of cybercriminals, possibly linked to Russia, responsible for the February 25 cyber-attack on the alloy aluminum smelter in September-Ils.

The group also posted some stolen information on its site with its ransomware.
Alouette responded, indicating that the trial was still ongoing.
“Preliminary observations reveal that some employee data may be compromised. Since then, the company has certified itself as providing free credit monitoring and protection services to all of its employees, retirees and former employees.
The smelter quickly blocked unauthorized access and operations continued as usual.
According to expert Alexis Doris-Jonkas, who can speak for TVA Novelles, it is the Kanti group’s practice to publish a portion of the data when the company does not respond to initial redemption demands.
The latter can be done by threatening to publish or sell other information and put it online.
The company must look at cost-benefits to make a decision.
In 2021, Kanti, who had previously represented the Russian government, raised more than $ 180 million with his attacks.
