When asked about the upcoming exhibitions of Hunter Biden films by New York Gallery Georges Burgess, White House spokeswoman Jen Saki said the president’s son “will attend events” on Friday.

“It doesn’t equate to meeting potential buyers,” she says.

Jen Saki announced on July 9 that he had set up a “system that allows Hunter Biden to practice his profession with reasonable security policies”, including the confidentiality of any transaction and the lack of contact with buyers.

“All exchanges related to the sale of works and their amount are handled by a professional gallery owner who follows strict rules. Any exceptional offer will be rejected,” Jen Saki explained.

“The gallery owner will not give any information to Hunter Biden or the administration on the buyers or potential buyers, including their identity, which will ensure a high level of protection and transparency.”

The gallery that contacted AFP did not immediately provide details or comments.

The Biden administration, which wants to show itself to be morally flawless, has been questioned on several occasions about Joe Biden’s artistic career as a lawyer, businessman and painter.

The American media, especially industrialists or financiers, pointed out the danger of buying his works with the sole aim of attracting the good graces of the White House. According to magazines, the paintings total up to $ 500,000.

Hunter Biden is one of former President Donald Trump’s favorite targets. The Trump camp regularly criticized Hunter Biden for having economic interests in Ukraine and China when his father, Barack Obama (2009-2017) was vice president.

He also aims for a federal investigation into tax crimes.

In a book published in the spring, the president’s youngest son described his battle with cracks and alcoholism.
