Target 200,000 doses per week in organizations

The Le Journal reports that Health Minister Christian Dubey wants to relieve stress from the public network by giving 200,000 doses of the vaccine a week to organizations.

“If we say companies should handle 200,000 doses a week, we’re talking about fifty hubs / business groups that can vaccinate 5,000 people a week for three months,” Mr Dubey said yesterday. Concile du Patron (CPQ).

In his speech, Christian Dubey told companies that they could contribute to this effort by taking responsibility for vaccine activities or by providing vaccinators.

“In our big weeks in June, we can go up to a million doses a week. All we need is to remove the stress from the public network. With our pharmacists, we’re talking about 100,000 to 200,000 vaccinations a week. We want to add companies,” he said.

Upon graduation, the Ministry of Health welcomed the inclusion of private sector resources, with Mary-Christine Cloutier, Director of Business Performance & Strategic Growth at CAE joining the effort.

“Vaccination wins! Has succeeded in our fight against this damn virus. This success, I want to share with you. Let’s go together and win this battle of our lives, ”Christian Dubey appealed to the business community.

According to him, Quebec should raise its sleeves and set up vaccination sites in companies to increase the efficiency and speed of vaccination.

“More companies have to pay for the vaccine or give us manpower. More staff in the health network can come back to hospitals to treat our world and resume surgeries,” he explained.

“It’s possible!”

Yesterday, CPQ CEO Carl Blackburn said his company had been asking for weeks for companies to participate in the government vaccination effort.

“Today we are seeing a real mobilization of employers everywhere in Quebec. Minister Dubey has heard this call and is embarking on an ambitious challenge himself: achieving 200,000 vaccinations a week. It’s possible!”

The Federation of Quebec Chambers of Commerce (FCCC) has indicated that more than 350 companies across Quebec have already responded.

“This high response rate confirms our first impression: many companies want to play an active role in this vaccine campaign,” FCCQ CEO Charles Milliard said in a press release.

Yesterday, the truckers ’associations asked for priority to be given to vaccinations, but their request remains a dead letter for the time being.
