The National Federation of Teachers of Quebec (FNEEQ-CSN) has condemned the improvement shown by Education Minister Jean-Franకోois Roberz since the outbreak began.

“It seems the minister has rediscovered the epidemic in his cabinet for almost two years. He’s always late and shocked by the new waves, ”FNEEQ-CSN Vice President Leandre Lapointe said sarcastically in a press release following a briefing by Education Minister on Wednesday.

With classes set to return on January 17, the majority of schools in the province still do not have adequately filtered air and do not have CO2 readers. For its part, the Central des Unions du Quebec (CSQ) welcomed some of the measures announced by the Minister of Education, but questioned the delay in Quebec regarding ventilation, self-tests, masks and the third dose vaccine. “We would like some action to be taken long before the arrival of Omicron.
