The US and allies are not threatened by Putin, Biden said

US President Joe Biden said on Friday that the US and its allies will not be “intimidated” by Russian President Vladimir Putin, assuring that NATO will defend “every inch” of its territory.

“America and its allies are not threatened” and Vladimir Putin “does not scare us,” he said in a speech at the White House.

Joe Biden addressed the Russian president directly, pointing his finger at the camera and warning against any attack from NATO territory.

“America and its allies are fully prepared to defend every inch of NATO territory,” he said.

“Mr. Putin, understand what I’m saying: every centimeter.

The American president was speaking shortly after Mr Putin formalized the four Ukrainian territories he promised victory to his country at a celebratory concert in Moscow’s Red Square.

The Russian president and other countries’ officials have repeatedly threatened to use nuclear weapons to defend newly annexed Ukrainian territories.

Joe Biden called Friday’s ceremony a “bogus number” meant to show his strength, instead explaining that “he’s in trouble.”

Referring to the $12 billion in new aid to Ukraine voted in the US Congress, the president promised to “continue to provide military equipment” to the country so it can defend itself.

Joe Biden promised to send underwater assets to the site of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipeline explosions to “find out exactly what happened,” which he called a “deliberate act of sabotage.”

“We will work with our allies to shed light on this,” Mr. Biden promised. “I have already begun assisting our allies in strengthening the defense of this critical infrastructure,” he added.
