Third dose: "extraordinary measure", Legalt prescribes government

The administration of a third-dose vaccine against COVID-19 “remains an extraordinary act,” the Ministry of Health and Social Services said in a press release Monday.

The injection of the overdose is aimed at “those who have the necessary travel outside the country, those who have a short-term plan and those who need to be vaccinated.”

For the third injection, a minimum interval of four weeks between doses should be observed.

Some countries do not consider people who have received mixed doses, i.e. two doses of two different vaccines, to be fully immunized.

The Legalt government therefore authorized some Cubans to inject a third dose.

A “clear” order will be sent Saturday to health and social services organizations.

Nearly 3,875 people in Quebec received a third dose of the vaccine on Monday.

“Negotiations with the federal government are ongoing so that mixed or two-dose scenarios of the astrogen or cochlear vaccine can be more widely recognized internationally,” it said in a press release.
