In a written statement sent Friday afternoon, the municipality reiterated that it was up to the government to publish the public responses.
“After analyzing the responses sent to the MELCC (Ministry of Environment) yesterday on the tramway project, the city confirms that the legal information is no longer relevant and that it is biased. This is the place to make the information public before the report is published. The process is established and a decision must be made on whether to disclose the answers, ”wrote David O’Brien.
On Thursday, a spokesman for the environment minister said Instead it is confirmed that “the city (Quebec)’s clear request to disclose these documents will reveal the answers to us”.
