The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) highlights the undeclared presence of wheat (gluten) and mustard in three products manufactured and sold by the Depanneur KGS company on Rue des Pioneers in the Pentecost sector. Some people may be bothered by these allergenic ingredients.
The young Port-Cartier company failed to mention the presence of allergens on the label of its meat macaroni au gratin, its meat macaroni and its meat spaghetti sauce. These products subject to this warning are offered for sale at Pentecost establishments only. They are packed in plastic containers and sold frozen or chilled.
MAPAQ invites people with an allergy to mustard or wheat, or those with celiac disease or another disease triggered by gluten consumption, not to consume these products.
The operator is voluntarily recalling the products in question. He agreed with MAPAQ to broadcast this warning as a precautionary measure. This is only relevant for people who are allergic to mustard or wheat.
It should be noted that no cases of allergic reactions associated with consumption of these foods have been reported to MAPAQ to date.
