Armed Aggression: He attacks his girlfriend, a friend counterattack

A 25-year-old man physically assaulted his 22-year-old girlfriend just after noon on Saturday in Montreal. The next friend attacked a young man with a knife and came to his rescue, police said. The two injured were in hospital but were not in danger.

The scene took place in an apartment in Rue Panet‌, near the intersection with Rue La Fontaine, and the call to 911 was dialed at 12:30 pm, according to the Service de Police de la Ville de Montreal (SPVM).

Upon arrival at the apartment, authorities identified the assailant’s 22-year-old girlfriend with bodily injuries as a result of an unrelated physical assault. She was rushed to hospital and SPVM confirmed she was not in danger.

The assailant attacked his girlfriend friend. Next, a 21-year-old woman attacked the young man with a knife and wounded his body.

They fled before police arrived, but shortly afterwards, were away from the hostel.

Police have arrested the girlfriend of the assailant. She was taken to an investigation center where she will be questioned in the next few hours to understand the events.

The 25-year-old abuser, meanwhile, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The SPVM arrests him when his health condition permits.

The scene was rescued by police. An investigation was launched and forensic identification technicians rushed to the scene.
