Bruce Springsteen was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol

Bruce Springsteen was shocked when he appeared in a car commercial on Sunday during the Super Bowl. The commercial was pulled Wednesday after it was confirmed that the singer was arrested in mid-November for driving under the influence in a New Jersey park.

A spokesman for Sandy Hook Park off the coast of New Jersey confirmed to AFP that the “boss” had been arrested on Nov. 14 and had been banned from receiving three citations for dangerous driving and alcohol while intoxicated.

The 71-year-old musician, originally from New Jersey, was a “collaborator” at the time of her arrest, she said.

According to the New Jersey Federal Prosecutor, Bruce Springsteen is due to appear in court by teleconference, “probably by the end of this month.”

Usually less advertising, the singer appeared in a commercial for carmaker Jeep on Sunday, which aired during the Super Bowl broadcast. Beyond the vast expanses of the Midwest, he saw hope “on the road” and called on Americans to overcome their divisions, which was one of many message messages of the evening.

After spreading information about his arrest, the car brand decided to withdraw the space two minutes later.

“It’s not fair for us to comment on a case we’ve just learned and we can not confirm,” said a spokesman for Brand (Stolantis Group) on CNBC. “But it is also right that we pause our statements until the real facts are established.”

The singer did not immediately comment. The announcement was made on his Twitter account on Wednesday night.
