The incident happened outside a business on Sunday morning.

According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, police were called around 10 a.m. to a man making terroristic threats to employees. The suspect allegedly spat in the face of an employee, who he allegedly threatened to “cut his face off.”

The man fled the scene and was arrested a short distance away by police. Although the discussion appeared calm at first, the suspect began physically assaulting one of the officers. He pushed him to the ground and hit him in the back of the head, the sheriff’s office said.

This aggression is the source of the controversy that spreads on social networks.

In the video, a police officer is seen throwing several punches to the suspect’s head. Meanwhile, another officer delivers several knee strikes to the lower body.

Arkansas police have launched an investigation into the arrest. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, for its part, indicated that the three police officers involved have been suspended pending the incident.
