Google will now alert you to home sounds via Android notifications

Google is creating an accessibility feature that makes life easier in your home – notifications about home sounds‌.

Once you enable this feature, your phone will detect sounds such as doorbell, barking dog and running water. This activity is powered by Google’s Live Transcript Technology, which was originally used only to convert speech into text. But now, Which can also detect sounds around you.

Home voice notifications target people with hearing impairments, If you are wearing headphones and listening to music or podcasts it will alert you of events.

In addition to displaying these alerts on your Android phone, Google can also send them to your Wear OS watch.
