The father of three hopes to be able to travel to Morocco in three days. He has worked hard during the pandemic and wants to take a well-deserved vacation with his family.

“No news, nothing. It’s not a holiday, it’s a nightmare, stress for the whole family. I can’t even sleep” said the assistant nurse with a fever.

The man applied for his passport several months ago.

“I want to see family, it’s been four years since I went to Morocco,” he said outside the Guy-Favreau complex, waiting for an answer.

This holiday Service Canada employees will only process requests from citizens who have an appointment or who come to pick up their passport already ready.

No new passport applications will be accepted today at the Complexe Guy-Favreau

From June 20 to 26, Service Canada offices received 55,000 applications, of which 48,000 passports were issued.
