Oversees the Quebec Montreal School Services Center

The Quebec government oversees the Center for Services Scholar de Montreal (CSSDM).

This decision was made to ensure the restoration of its governance and to keep the best practices in terms of governance in a consistent manner. Jean-Franకోois Lachens will have a principal to oversee this.

In a press release, the Ministry of Education stated that the immediate goal is to see the school fully functional by 2021, in the interest of the priority of the students concerned. In the medium term, this appointment under supervision allows to establish in a consistent manner favorable conditions for the establishment of sound governance in the CSS.

In January 2021, the Ministry launched an audit on the administration, organization and performance of the CSSDM Board based on allegations of serious ethical and dialectical violations.

According to the ministry, this audit has made it possible to identify gaps in governance, especially in understanding the roles and responsibilities of directors, the dysfunctional environment between the administration and the board of directors and the administrative management planning center of the school service.
