Quebec: 10 months sentence for assaulting his ex-spouse

The ex-spouse, who still does not accept the separation from his spouse that occurred in 2018, physically assaulted his new spouse and has been constantly harassing the latter since that time.

Despite splitting up three years ago, Yedon-Eric Gonzalez-Baldoseda has not stopped harassing his ex-wife. During these three years, the accused kept calling her, going to her house without warning or following her in the car to see her arrival and trends.

On at least one occasion, the 37-year-old said he broke into his ex-wife’s house, pushed her and kicked her. While having dinner at the restaurant with the girlfriends, the accused unexpectedly entered the restaurant and sat at their table without saying anything.

The new spouse was beaten

The harassment of Gonzales-Baldoceda became more violent, however, when his ex-wife started a new relationship.

The physical altercation took place after the accused followed the couple in a car while doing business in Quebec.

In particular, he spat in the face and hit the man with a blow to the forehead at the grocery store. In two other cases, the accused, who works in a butcher shop, threw punches at his new spouse.

What’s more, in March 2021, Gonzalez-Baldoseda broke into a new spouse’s apartment on two occasions and waited in the dark. Yedan-Erick Gonzales-Baldoceda eventually pleaded guilty to all counts and was sentenced to 10 months in prison.
