Richard Lehoux became the sixth member of ten people behind him in the party leadership race in the Quebec Caucasus yesterday. After surveying members of the Conservative Party of Canada on his ride, a Beauce member confirmed his support in a press release.

“Members want the next leader to be progressive, inclusive and experienced. In addition, they want someone who is well-versed in Quebec and the region and can support any policy that can help improve the well-being of Beauce, ”he said.

“In my opinion, Mr. Charrest is the right man for the job and will be on the same level to lead the CPC to victory in the next election,” he added.

The Buceron deputy therefore added his voice to Dominic Vian, Gerard Deltel, Alain Reyes, Bernard Generex and Joel Godin.

Elected officials are still thinking

MPs Pierre Paul-Hus (Charlesbourg-Haute-Saint-Charles) and Richard Martel (Chicoutimi-Le Fjord) continue their reflection, as indicated in their respective cabinets.

The same thing happened to Deputy Jacques Gorde (Lewis-Latbineer), who has not yet been officially announced.

We are told that because of his current role in the party, Luke Berthold, Quebec’s deputy leader and political lieutenant, will impose neutrality on him.
