‘The Office’ actor changes name for climate change

'The Office' actor changes name for climate change

Rain Wilson, the beloved actor of the American television series “The Office”, has announced that he will change his name to raise awareness about global warming.

The man who plays Dwight posted a video on his social media explaining his decision.

He confirmed to his subscribers that he would no longer respond to Rain Percival Dietrich Wilson, but to Rainfall Heat Wave Rising Sea Levels.

“As a little publicity stunt to save the planet, I decided to change my name on Twitter, Instagram and even my little paper,” he explains.

There is no evidence that the popular actor actually changed his name legally. Although his new name appears in the description of his various platforms, his official username remains @RainWilson.

Wilson said his name change was influenced by COP27 in Egypt this week.

For his new nickname, the actor used the site Arctic Risk Name Generator. The website encourages users to become an “Arctic Name Changer”.
