The Tennessee Titans have announced 'several' COVID-19 cases

COVID-19 entered the NFL.

The Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday morning that they have “many” positive COVID-19 positives and are “working through the process of verifying them.”

“The company has decided to work remotely today as it follows the NFL protocols related to the Kovid-19 virus. Several tests have returned positive and are still in the process of being verified. We will have more information tomorrow,” the full statement read.

Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network first reported that Tennessee was dealing with eight cases, with three of the players being staff and five. The NFL later confirmed the figures in a statement. The two and the Minnesota Vikings, who played the Titans over the weekend, will suspend individual activity from Tuesday.

The Vikings announced on Tuesday morning that they had no positive cases.

According to ESPN’s Diana Russini, Tennessee will be closed until Saturday, meaning the Titans’ coaches and players will not be at their facility until then. Minnesota has announced that they will be closing their facility until further notice.

The NFL released a statement on Tuesday morning:

“On Tuesday morning, the Titans Kovid test results returned three new player positives and five new staff positives. The Titans will suspend Person Club activities from today, as well as the Vikings who played Titans on Sunday. NFL and NFLPA work closely to assess close contacts, perform additional tests and monitor development. All decisions are made as our primary consideration with health and safety. Continue to share updates as more information becomes available. “
