Daniel Pare, Director of the Vaccination Campaign in Quebec, has been appointed Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Health.
More specifically, Quebec on Wednesday confirmed that Mr. Pare will be the Associate Deputy Minister of the Directorate General for Executive and Operational Management of the Epidemic of the Ministry of Health and Social Services from March 14.
Having been in health management positions such as President and CEO of CISSS de Choudhury-Appalachians for over a decade, Mr. Pare is well known to the general public for his role in the Quebec vaccine.
“As the director of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19, he carried out this major operation brilliantly and contributed to achieving the expected vaccination rate in the Quebec population,” said Christian Dube, Minister of Health and Minister of Health and Social Services.
According to the minister, the new deputy minister “undoubtedly has the skills and expertise needed to meet this new challenge”.

In addition, the government announced that by April 1 CIUSSS de la Capital-National President and Deputy Director Guy Thibodeau will head the organization.
Mr Thebodo will thus be replaced by the retiring current CEO, Michelle Delamarre.
