An industrialist accused of harassing the mayor of Louisville has been released

Michael Lacorsier, a 52-year-old industrialist, was released after a second charge of making threats against Louisville Mayor Yvonne Desais.

However, the accused is subject to detention and expensive conditions. To get out of jail, he had to deposit $ 1,000, among other things. He is also prohibited from communicating with the mayor, walking in front of his house, following him, gooing him or harassing him and possessing weapons.

According to his lawyer, it is not possible to keep the accused in custody for the duration of the trial, because if he is found guilty he may be sentenced to a longer term than the sentence available to him.

According to OmE Stefan Roof, commitments give a very wide guarantee. “We mentioned the follow-up and gooing action. More generally, that is, in case he saw it, he would have to take another path. Mr. Desais, at this level, there would be some latitude in his movements,” the lawyer explained.

The defendant allegedly followed the Louisville mayor’s vehicle before making objectionable remarks on Sunday, for which he was not subject to harassment and conditions. He is already awaiting trial for death threats against the mayor.
