Former employee accused of sexual intercourse

A 38-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a 17-year-old victim in 2017 while working at a Quebec Youth Center.

The allegations were made almost four years ago when Mary-Claude Fortin was an educator at the Quebec Youth Center. According to three indictments filed this morning in Quebec City Court, the crimes were committed under circumstances where a 17-year-old man at the time had authority or belief.

In addition to the invitation to sexual touch and sexual intercourse, Mary-Claude Fortin is also accused of computer lure in the story.

The file was opened when an arrest warrant was issued against the lady in January. The latter was submitted to police on January 15 and was released on Tuesday after a formal set-up.

CIUSSS de la Capitale – Nationale reports that a 38-year-old woman was expelled from the Center Junes de Quebec on February 22, 2019, two years ago. However, CIUSSS did not provide details about the circumstances under which the employment relationship was terminated, indicating that the information was “confidential”.

A Quebec resident was released during the trial.
