To support public sector workers’ fight for better working conditions, the Steelworkers Union has announced a $100,000 donation.

This donation will be in the form of grocery gift cards to support the most affected families as the holiday season approaches.
“Workers who take public services by the hand and look after our youth, our children, our seniors and the entire population are currently leading an important fight for better working conditions,” said Dominique Lemieux, director of the Quebec Steel Workers. . “It’s important for us to support them.”
The resolution was passed by representatives of key locals affiliated with the USW District 5 strike fund over the past few days.
USW is distributed through regional offices and managed by related organizations.
